Agronomic Research
Ecofibre Industries is continuing to develop the agronomic information for hemp in Australia, in collaboration with state agricultural departments and private growers, particularly in Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania. Ongoing fibre and other research and trials include:
- sowing density relative to overall yield and bast to hurd ratios
- optimum nutrient requirements
- optimum watering programs
- IPM insect control for seed and grain production
- optimum harvesting practices for seed and grain production
- performance of different varieties in different locations with varying soil types
- hemp production under saline irrigation conditions
